Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all lawn care services provided by HiveRevive ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") to customers ("Client," "you," or "your") located in the West Island region of Quebec.

By purchasing a service plan, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Overview

  • HiveRevive provides residential lawn mowing services with a bi-weekly schedule: 13 visits from May 4th through October 30th each season.
  • Services are available exclusively in the West Island region of Quebec.

2. Service Season

  • The mowing season runs from May 4th through October 30th (6 months), weather permitting.
  • The season is weather-dependent and may begin earlier or later depending on growing conditions.
  • If grass growth stops earlier than expected:
    • Service will end at that time.
    • Any missed scheduled cuts will be offered free toward the following season's plan.
  • We do not guarantee a specific season start or end date.

3. Visit Schedule & Frequency

  • Your plan includes 13 bi-weekly visits throughout the season (May 4th - October 30th), weather permitting.
  • We do not guarantee a specific number of completed visits due to:
    • Weather conditions
    • Access restrictions
    • Force majeure events
  • If weather prevents service during a cycle:
    • That visit may be skipped.
    • Service resumes on the next scheduled rotation.
    • Missed cuts are offered free for the next season.

4. Scheduling & Work Hours

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Scheduling is fully automated and route-optimized.
  • Clients cannot select specific days or time slots.
  • Clients may request a schedule change by contacting us, but changes are not guaranteed.
  • We do not guarantee specific arrival times.

5. Access to Property

Clients must ensure:

  • Lawn access is unobstructed
  • Gates are unlocked
  • Pets are secured
  • No hazards are present

If access is blocked:

  • We may attempt a return.
  • If return is not possible, the visit will be skipped.
  • The visit will still be charged.

6. Lawn Condition & Preparation

Excessive Growth

If a lawn is excessively overgrown beyond normal maintenance:

  • An additional fee may apply.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service until adjusted pricing is agreed.

Debris Removal

We are not responsible for removing:

  • Sticks
  • Toys
  • Furniture
  • Trash
  • Yard debris

Debris removal is available as a separate pre-cleanup service.

Pet Waste

If pet waste is present:

  • Service will be refused.
  • Visit may be skipped and charged.

7. Payment Terms & Pricing

How Pricing Works

Your price is based on three factors:

  • Lawn Tier: Small (under 4,000 sq ft), Medium (4,000-7,000 sq ft), or Large (over 7,000 sq ft)
  • Distance: Distance from our service hub affects travel costs
  • Client Density: Availability of nearby service routes optimizes efficiency
  • Seasonal lawn care starts at $360 (with free first mow discount). Your exact price varies based on the factors above.
  • Pricing is locked in for the entire season once you sign up.
  • All prices are in CAD (Canadian Dollars).

Free First Mow Promotion

New Clients Only & Limited Payment Plans: The free first mow promotion is only available to new clients whose service address has never been registered in our system, AND who select either "Pay in Full" or "Pay in 4 Installments" payment plans.

  • Does NOT apply to Pay Monthly option. Monthly payments are charged without the free first mow discount.
  • If your address has previously received paid service from HiveRevive, you are not eligible for the free first mow.
  • Unpaid quotes do not affect eligibility - you remain eligible if you have never completed payment for service at that address.
  • Eligibility is determined automatically based on our payment records at the time of quote calculation.
  • The free first mow discount is applied to the entire seasonal price, proportionally reducing the per-visit rate for all 13 visits. No refund is issued if you cancel after the first visit.

Payment Options

We offer three flexible payment plans:

  • Pay in Full (Upfront): One-time seasonal payment. Includes free first mow discount for new clients.
  • Pay in 4 Installments via Klarna: Spread your payment across 4 interest-free installments. Includes free first mow discount for new clients.
  • Pay Monthly: 6 monthly payments (May - October). No free first mow discount applied. Full per-month cost.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

8. Refund Policy

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy (separate document).

In summary:

  • Completed services are non-refundable.
  • Services in progress are non-refundable.
  • Only unfulfilled future services may be eligible for refund.
  • This applies to all payment methods, including Klarna and subscriptions.

9. Weather Policy

Weather may delay or prevent service.

If heavy rain or prolonged conditions prevent mowing:

  • Visits may be skipped.
  • Service resumes next rotation.
  • Missed cuts are offered free toward the following season.

No cash refunds are issued for weather-related interruptions beyond what is outlined in the Refund Policy.

10. Liability Disclaimer

HiveRevive is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing lawn damage
  • Hidden objects in grass
  • Unmarked sprinkler heads
  • Underground utilities
  • Damage caused by undisclosed hazards

Clients must disclose hazards and properly mark sprinkler systems.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our maximum liability is limited to:

  • The value of unfulfilled services only.
  • Completed services cannot be refunded.

Under no circumstances shall HiveRevive be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Termination of Service

We may terminate service at our discretion, including for:

  • Unsafe conditions
  • Client misconduct
  • Repeated access issues
  • Non-payment

If service is terminated:

  • All unfulfilled future services will be refunded.
  • Completed services remain non-refundable.

13. Marketing & Media Use

We may photograph properties for marketing purposes, including before-and-after images.

We will not disclose:

  • Client names
  • Exact addresses
  • Identifiable personal details

By using our services, you consent to such use.

14. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Quebec and applicable Canadian federal law.

All disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec.

15. Age Restriction

Services are available only to individuals aged 18 or older.

16. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
